Yesterday while I was out with my two sons enjoying a Sunday afternoon on Salem Common I could not help but notice over by the gazebo there were some tables set up with an array of goods for sale next to a fried dough stand.It was culture weekend in the Witch City.
What caught my attention next was a small area where people who have not registered to vote in this years elections could do so.Now at these culture fairs it's mainly to promote multiculturalism which I have no problem with.But what was intriguing was that the people at this register to vote area the people were wearing Obama'08 campaign shirts as well as buttons.
Now I know full well that had these been McCain'08 supporters it would be all over the media that where was the Obama supporters.I am not surprised that no one said a thing because there are many many legions of Obamaites especially in this the bluest of blue states.
Next time there should be non-affiliated non-partisan people helping those who need to register to vote do so.But in all reality I don't expect it to.
