Well the media and the liberals got what they wanted. With U.S.Sen.John McCain clinching the GOP Presidential Nomination (of course Conservatives hardly voted if they did for the former "Maverick" according to the media) McCain needs to shore up the Conservative base of the Republican party if he has a prayer for victory in the November election. The suggestion here at "My Political Opinion" is for him to pick a running mate who is strong with the Conservative base as well as being strong in the area of economics. I believe that Sen.McCain should pick former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney who before he was elected to the Executive office here in the Bay State was a Venture Capitalist and strong within the business community as executive at Bain Capital.Romney as McCain is pro-life on the issue of Abortion.Gov.Romney also did well in the primaries among Conservatives even though former Republican Arkansas Gov.Mike Huckabee a Pastor in the Southern Baptist Church tried to woo the Evangelical/Born Again Christian right of the GOP. As much as the nimrods in the liberal lamestream media thought that Romney being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints otherwise known as Mormons would hurt him they were as usual as their baloney filled polls were wrong big time.It actually helped him bring alot of the aforementioned Christian right to his side in the primaries. Although he is far from perfection (as most on the left think with their little college degrees are) Gov.Romney will be a perfect fit with McCain and show that the GOP is ready and willing to be united (not as the liberals love to kumbyah after a bruising primary battle) for the up and coming November election.
for todays posting
