Well an American hero testified before Congress this past week about the situation ongoing in Iraq.I speak of none other than the Honorable United States General David Petraeus Commanding General of allied forces better known as the Coalition in Iraq. To no surprise liberal cowards like the New York Times and their cohort liberal Communist George Soros funded so called organization MoveOn.org backed off from frivolously attacking the General by as they did before in a NYT advertisement call General Petraeus "General Betrayus." And these liberals always whine about why Conservatives consider them unpatriotic Americans.Sens Clinton and Obama made it a point to do the usual bash the Bush Administration on the war on terror manuvers. GOP Presidential Contender Sen.John McCain had nothing but praise for Gen.Petraeus for his wonderful job that he is doing especially with all the media controversy with the "Surge" of our troops over there.

Talk about a free ride our Congressman up here in the 6th congressional district of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts U.S. Rep.John Tierney (D-Salem,Massachusetts) will not have any real opposition come time for this November's election cycle. My good friend who ran last time a man by the name of Rick Barton the Republican nominee for the district ran a fierce campaign two years ago in 2006 they had only one debate in which Rick kicked his ass big time all over the Bedford Massachusetts debate hall. Rick dropped out through no fault of his own.It happened due to the fact that the Massachusetts Republican Party (which hardly exists any more) which even back in 2006 did little to help him run meaning $$$ cha ching or the lack there of.It also is proof as I have said many times before since moderates run the state party when it comes to good Conservatives like Rick who want to run they don't support him.The people who run the MassGOP are constantly complaining that there are no solid candidates who want to run for office so they have no room to complain now.

Now no sooner or later GOP Presidential candidate US Sen.John McCain (R-AZ) needs to pick a running mate in the Vice Presidential slot. While the Democrats are in the midst of a fierce battle for their parties nominee now would be a perfect time to show the country that the Republican Party unlike the Democrats are united as one after their primary duels. As I have stated before here at "My Political Opinion" it would be smart for Sen.McCain to pick some one conservative to have stability for the GOP 2008 ticket. If the Senator picks a moderate like himself the GOP is doomed.
